"Montana Dog Soldier" might better have been titled "Molly and the Montana Dog Soldier." Former Delta Force soldier, Kujo (short for Kuntz, Joe) and his canine partner, Six, had both been medically discharged due to injuries incurred in Afghanistan. Part of the plot revolves around how Kujo and Six were reunited after being discharged at different times. Almost immediately following their reunion, the duo save the life of an FBI agent who was seriously injured while fleeing her attacker who had left her for dead. Following her rescue and recovery from her injuries, the intrepid FBI agent Molly Greenbrier, pretty much dominated the story line and in doing so, her skill set as an agent miraculously blossomed as she stumbled into a terrorist training camp while on her very first field assignment. Really? I had really looked forward to this story, which is Book 6 of the Brotherhood Protectors series but it didn't live up to the hype surrounding its release.Product details

This is the 6th book in the series and I read it in one setting. The whole series is great. I found the first one a little slow but picked up speed quickly. I was so glad I hadn’t given up as each of the series really pick up speed. I have read most of the books by Ellie James and from what I have read she is great in action stories, and exciting love stories. On reading the reviews one person said she couldn’t count the times she read the heroine wiggled her nose and acted disgruntled by it,so I paid attention and only found 3. There may have been some I missed, but by being so engrossed in the book I couldn’t have cared less. Great Military action is Ellie James triumphant card, and i love 💕 her books. I would recommend her books to anyone who wants action and exciting books that never fails to amaze me!!! Now on to book 7.
I very much enjoyed this action packed adventure chasing would-be terrorists through the wilderness. The Brotherhood Protectors gain another experienced team member when Kujo decides to end his 3-year isolation. The timing is perfect for Molly, FBI agent new to fieldwork. The first day out and she's already in trouble! Molly is great! She's inexperienced in some areas, but she puts her heart into all she does, and she has excellent instincts. Kujo is in top form, even with his injured leg. He's sweet and loving under that gruff exterior, and boy, does he know how to get the job done!
I'm sure you'll enjoy this as much as I did!
Joseph "Kujo" Kuntz is booted from the Army after sustaining a shrapnel injury that has left him with a limp. He goes into hiding for three years in the Montana mountains because he's angry with himself and the world. His two buddies from the Army find him and tell him that the dog that served with him is up for adoption. Kujo tells his friends no he will not adopt "Six". That's the name Kujo gave him. His friends tell him Six only has three days to live. The dog has issues from being wounded, and since Kujo left the service, he's been through four different handlers. Six doesn't trust anyone anymore. No one he knows sticks around. Everyone leaves him. Kujo goes and rescues Six before the deadline.
FBI agent Molly Greenbriar goes to Montana to check out a tip about an ISIS faction near Eagle Rock. She pretends to be a photographer for a GPS mapping company when she's attacked in the mountains and left for dead. She's discovered by Six and Kujo and taken to his cabin where he administers first aid.
Kujo informs his new boss and is assigned as Molly's protector until his new team can neutralize the source of the threat. Molly is determined to complete her mission. This is her chance to show she can do the job. She accepts Kujo and Six as her protectors, but there's one thing they didn't count on....their burgeoning desire for each other.
Montana Dog Soldier is the sixth book in the Brotherhood Protector series but each story stands alone and you won't feel lost if you don't read the others first. The other books are really good, though, so I recommend reading them.
The story starts out three years in the past and lets us know how Joseph "Kujo" Kuntz was injured. Next, we learn what Kujo is doing now – which isn't much. Things gain steam pretty quickly after his former teammates find him and recruit him to join the Brotherhood Protectors. There's more, too, involving a former bomb sniffing dog but I'm not giving anything away here.
My attention was grabbed me right from the start – the story is filled with suspense – and I finished it in one sitting. Who can resist a former Delta Force soldier and his dog? I sure couldn't and I thoroughly enjoyed reading another great story from one of my favorite authors, Elle James. I was also happy to learn that she has more books planned for this series.

Montana Dog Soldier is a good story with strong female and male leads. Joe aka Kujo is the male hero along with his German Shepherd Six, they are both retired military but being Delta Force makes him never fully retired. Kujo and Six are the newest members of Brotherhood Protectors.
Molly is an FBI agent out in the Crazy Mountains of Montana to find a terrorist training camp, when she is left for dead, Kujo and Six will save her life. Kujo and Molly have a love hate relationship at first as their trying to figure the other out. Once that trust develops, it's on like Donkey Kong. Kujo is one sexy alpha but he is also sweet and caring. Molly is strong, independent but knows when she is over her head and needs help.
if you read any other books in this series than you will see all previous Brotherhood members such as Hank, Taz, Bear, Duke and my favorite Swede. This is actually the first book of the series where all previous books characters had a little role and I loved it. I like when an author writes a series and includes all her characters in the books. I hate reading a series, only to never read about the previous characters. So I am excited James included the men and their woman in Montana Dog Soldier.
